Thursday: Pit Lane Walk & Marquez signing session

If you have a weekend ticket, you should come along to the grandstand Start Ziel (sectors K-A) for the Pit Lane Walk (16:30 ‑ 17:40). This is your opportunity to stroll along the actual pit lane and get a close-up look at the bikes belonging to the MotoGP stars. The queue will start to form at 14:30, and admission is on a “first come, first served” basis.

The gates of the MotoGP Bike City (behind the Steiermark Grandstand) will be open from 12:00. This gives you plenty of time to purchase the fan merchandise of your favourite riders and to fortify yourself at various food stands. If you take a keen interest in the “next MotoGP generation”, then you will definitely want to be there for the “Meet the Riders” session featuring Moto2 and Moto3 riders on the huge event stage. Later in the afternoon comes another highlight when Marc Marquez will be signing copies of his new book (from 18:00 onwards).

Friday: Full programme on and off the track

The new MotoGP sprint format will be in use for the first time at the Red Bull Ring. A bonus for the spectators, because it means more action on the circuit. The ten fastest riders in the practice session (15:00 to 16:00) go straight through to Q2. Activity on the track gets underway much earlier in the day, at 08:30 to be precise, when the MotoE riders get their free practice session. Also on Friday’s programme are the Moto2, Moto3 and the Red Bull Rookies Cup. The latter will feature two of Austria’s great hope for the future, Jakob Rosenthaler and Leo Rammerstorfer.

The complete MotoGP programme can be found here.

Even before the first riders emerge onto the race track, the MotoGP Bike City will be buzzing (gates open to the public at 08:00). Throughout the day, the MotoGP stars will be appearing on the event stage, answering questions put to them by Gabi Hiller. Make sure you don’t miss any of your favourites, such as “Meet the Riders”, by saving them in your Red Bull Ring app. If you haven’t installed the app on your smartphone yet, now is the time to do so.

Saturday: On your marks, get set, sprint

If your main ambition for the weekend is to get an autograph or take a selfie with your favourite MotoGP star, then the Hero Walk on the Styrian Green Carpet is an absolute must. Starting at 09:00, the world’s top riders will be parading along the green carpet in front of the Welcome Center of the Red Bull Ring. At 15:00, Brad Binder and the other contestants will be competing for victory and vital world championship points in the sprint.

Away from the race track, the Red Bull Masters of Dirt FMX Shows and the ARAS Freestyle Show will have spectators gasping with astonishment. In addition, you can gyrate to the beat of dance music played by international DJs in the MotoGP Bike City. The top Austrian live acts lined up for Saturday evening are Erwin and Edwin followed by Folkshilfe.

Sunday: The early bird catches the worm (or in this case, a goodie)

Even if you’re not naturally an early riser, you need to make an exception on Sunday. If you arrive at the Red Bull Ring site before 07:30, your reward will be an Early Bird voucher (while supplies last).

From 10:20 onwards, the attractions come thick and fast – the Hero Walk on the Styrian Green Carpet, the Rider Fan Parade and the spectacular air displays performed by the Flying Bulls and the Red Bull Skydive Team. Before the lights on the gantry go out, Alexander Eder will perform his interpretation of the Austrian national anthem.

At 14:00, the world’s best riders will be pushing each other to the limit in a race that will have spectators on the edge of their seat. At the last race a fortnight ago, the three top manufacturers Aprilia, Ducati and KTM were within 0.68 seconds of each other. The Red Bull Ring is in any case a track where new heroes regularly write their names into the record books: Brad Binder won one of the most spectacular races in MotoGP history in 2021, while Miguel Oliveira and Jorge Martin each celebrated a maiden MotoGP victory at Spielberg.

Be there live for the motorbike spectacular of the year. Tickets are available online until 12:00 on Friday 18th August. If your circumstances are such that you need to keep your options open until the last minute, you can still purchase a ticket at the box office.

Box office opening hours:

Thursday: 13:30 to 18:00
Friday: 08:00 to 18:00
Saturday: 08:00 to 18:00
Sunday: 08:00 to 14:00
