Motorcycling action plus the festival atmosphere of MotoGP Bike City

An impressive programme of entertainment has been lined up for the MotoGP Bike City fan zone, featuring concerts, Meet the Riders and the Adrian Guggemos Trial Stuntshows.

Ticket holders can look forward to a display of first-class racing action on track, supplemented by a festival atmosphere and a first-class supporting programme off it. The MotoGP Bike City directly behind the Steiermark grandstand will once again live up to its reputation as a bastion of entertainment. Today, chart-toppers Alexander Eder and Granada will be raising the atmosphere to fever pitch. The pop combo from Graz, who sing in the local dialect, also have a prominent role to play in Sunday’s proceedings when they will perform their own unique interpretation of Austria’s national anthem ‘Land der Berge’.

Tomorrow, the event stage in the MotoGP Bike City will be given over to two cover bands: U2 TRIBUTE Achtung Babies and KISS FOREVER.

The gates of MotoGP Bike City will open on Thursday 15th August at 12 noon, and the party will continue until 6pm on Sunday.

MotoGP Bike City opening times:
Thursday: 12:00 – 20:00
Friday: 08:00 – 22:30
Saturday: 08:00 – 22:30
Sunday: 07:00 – 18:00

The pounding rhythms of the live acts are by no means the only factor that will increase your pulse rate, because Adrian Guggemos will be delivering his impressive Trial Stuntshows on an impromptu setting in the middle of the fan zone. The freestyle trials ace claims to “make the impossible possible”, and his stunts certainly live up to that billing.

On Friday (11:35 – 11:45*) he will show his stunt show in front of the KTM grandstand, on Saturday (14:30 – 14:40*) his stunt show will take place on the start-finish straight and on Sunday (10:10 – 10:25*) Guggemos shows his trial skills between Turn 1 and Turn 2.

Absolutely phenomenal – the Red Bull Masters of Dirt FMX Show. MotoGP Bike City will be hosting some of the world’s top freestyle motocross acrobats like Luc Ackermann, who will be seeking to outdo each other in terms of spectacular stunts and have you gasping at their backflips.

We have good news for all motorsport fans: There are still tickets available for the two-wheeler party of the year at the box office!

When the awards ceremony comes to the fans

When the black and white checkered flag is waved after the Sprint, that means for you: Off to the MotoGP Bike City. After their cool-down lap, the top three MotoGP riders turn off with their racing bikes directly from the Grand Prix track into the heart of the fan zone. Through the crowd of fans, the top three pilots head to the event stage, where the sprint award ceremony takes place for the first time. Don’t miss the chance to celebrate their sprint success with the MotoGP stars.

Another highlight awaits you on Sunday morning, when none other than Fabio Wibmer visits the MotoGP Bike City. The two-wheel artist takes plenty of time for your autograph and selfie requests

It's a busy programme. But there’s more…

MotoGP Bike City is THE place to be whenever the engine noises temporarily fall silent. Here, you can try on the latest collections from the MotoGP teams at the merchandise shops. Be sure to stop by the Legends Tent. Here you will find a selection of vehicles and bikes from our in-house fleet and can take a seat in the KTM X-Bow simulator.

And of course, the MotoGP Bike City also caters for culinary pit stops (Vegan/vegetarian options are available from all food stands). Our recommendation: Chill out on one of the deckchairs in the Spritzer Garden and soak up the atmosphere with a freshly prepared fizzy drink.
