MotoGP 2026 – The best moments at the Red Bull Ring

MotoGP fans thoroughly enjoyed the standout fixture of the two-wheeler racing calendar in Austria, generating an amazing atmosphere around the Red Bull Ring throughout the race weekend. Here, we look back on the best moments and forward to the next festival of two-wheeled motorsport in 2027.

Before the world’s top riders stamped their authority on Austria’s GP circuit, hundreds of moped riders took over the Red Bull Ring. Fans turned up in creative and authentic outfits for the third edition of the “MopedGP von Österreich”, led out by MotoGP stars Pedro Acosta, Brad Binder, Álex Márquez, Raúl Fernández, Toprak Razgatlıoğlu and Pol Espargaró. It’s crystal clear from their reaction that the stars also had a great time!

He’s done it at last! Following his chicane excursion while leading Saturday’s sprint race, Pedro Acosta responded with a maiden MotoGP Grand Prix victory at the Red Bull Ring, delivering KTM’s third home win. Starting third, the spanish rider stormed to the front early in the race and remained unbeatable all the way to the finish. Jorge Martín finished second, with Marco Bezzecchi completing the podium in third. Twenty-eight laps of intense racing rounded off a weekend filled with world-class action and impressive side events.

While the motorcycle elite were otherwise engaged, the Red Bull Skate & BMX Show and the Red Bull Tricks & Trial Show with Adrian Guggemos thrilled the fans with spectacular displays. The party atmosphere was amplified by live music, featuring bands and DJs in three different areas of entertainment in the MotoGP Fan Zone.

For autograph and selfie hunters, the MotoGP weekend at the Red Bull Ring was a dream come true, with more opportunities for fans to meet their favourite riders and maybe even exchange a few words than at almost any other race track. On the programme were the Public Pit Lane Walk (Thursday), “Meet the Riders”  and the “Hero Walk on the Styrian Green Carpet” (Saturday and Sunday).

Across six MotoGP race weekends, with two races held at each event, the riders of the “Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup” battled it out for the title. On Sunday, the moment finally arrived: Australian rider Archie McDonald was crowned the first-ever world champion of the new “Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup”.

After the spectacle 2026 at the Red Bull Ring, it is clear: The #AustrianGP 2027 will be another weekend full of adrenaline and festival atmosphere! The best entertainment with side events, concerts, autograph sessions, stunt shows and air shows is only available at Spielberg.
