Standing still is not an option for Formula 1 teams, and the same goes for the Red Bull Ring app. During the enforced pause in racing, it’s not just the cars that are being worked on – the Red Bull Ring app has also received a comprehensive makeover.
This means you’ll be even better prepared for the upcoming events – whether you’re already at the track or on the way.
Do you already have the latest version? If not, then update now.
To make use of all the new features, you should update your Red Bull Ring app to the latest version. Just take a quick look in the App Store or Google Play Store: if it says ‘Update’, one click is all it takes, and the latest version will be on your device in no time at all.
Not got the app on your smartphone yet? Then download it for free from either the App Store (iOS) or the Google Play Store (Android).
What’s new?
The biggest change is to the app’s home screen. During major events, you’ll now have all the key features at your fingertips as soon as you open the app:
- event programme
- circuit map
- pit radio
- latest news
- gallery highlights
- community posts under #redbullring
- NEW: posts from the @redbullring Instagram account
The P.A. announcer will also be integrated directly into the app in future, i.e. an external app is no longer necessary. Automated transcription will also make the content accessible to the deaf and hard-of-hearing.
In Mini-Player mode, the P.A. announcer continues to play whilst you navigate through the app – a really handy feature! The background player keeps the P.A. announcer active even when the app is closed or the smartphone is locked.
Smart push notifications
A feature that was already introduced in the 2025 season is now being officially launched, namely automatic push notifications for the event programme. After enabling programme notifications, you will be informed immediately of any changes to the schedule or cancellations. If you have marked individual programme items as favourites, you will also automatically receive a reminder 30 minutes before the start of the event you’re interested in.
In addition, there are push notifications for new pit radio messages and for the latest news articles.
In the app settings, you can readily select which notifications you wish to receive – whether pit radio, news articles, the programme or indeed all of them.

Ready to go all year round
Even outside of race weekends, the app offers other useful features. For example, you can keep track of your Cashless Card balance, book tickets and Driving Experiences, purchase vouchers, explore the food and drink options, check opening times or delve into the history of the Red Bull Ring – all with just a few taps of your finger.
