On Thursday, the drivers held their traditional press conference to start the race weekend while the fans got fully in the mood for the 2021 Austrian Grand Prix with the Pit Lane Tour.

Tens of thousands of fans are to ensure for an incredible atmosphere this weekend at the Formula 1 BWT Großer Preis von Österreich 2021 – including an impressive contingent of Dutch supporters, who are well known for their fondness for turning parts of the Red Bull Ring into a wall of orange.

Anyone who wants to be there for the thrills of the top series of motorsport still has the chance to buy tickets at the ticket points – including individual day tickets for Friday, Saturday and Sunday!

Drivers’ expectations for the 2021 Austrian Grand Prix:

Max Verstappen (NED / Red Bull Racing): “There was a bit of time to celebrate on Sunday, of course. We still have a long season ahead of us and we need to stay focused. It will be interesting to see how the weather develops this weekend. It will definitely be more challenging than last week. It’s our clear aim to be right at the front again. I am looking forward to a lot of spectators coming and creating a fantastic atmosphere. The fans from Holland, in particular, provide fantastic support for us!”

Lewis Hamilton (GBR / Mercedes): There wasn‘t much time to relax in recent days. We tried to find out what we can get out of the car and what we can do differently. Everyone in the team is working as hard as they can. We are learning more and more about the car every day. The last four races were difficult. Monaco and Baku were a catastrophe, but France and last weekend were better. We are getting closer and will not give up the battle for the title.”

Pierre Gasly (FRA / Scuderia AlphaTauri): “It‘s really painful that I couldn‘t get any points on Sunday. No matter who it is with – whether it‘s Charles or another driver, a collision is always a stupid thing. He didn’t do it intentionally, and we are still friends. That’s all a part of racing. We are trying to get closer to Ferrari and McLaren. Our car has real potential, and in qualifying in particular we are doing well. The gap will get smaller.”

There will be no spectator restrictions in place for the Formula 1 BWT Großer Preis von Österreich 2021 at the Red Bull Ring. With side events on the racing circuit and up in the air as well as music acts, fan challenges and a vehicle exhibition in the F1 Fan Zone, there will be no end of entertainment for motorsport fans over the entire race weekend. Anyone who wants to see the Formula 1 festival up close in Styria can buy tickets at the circuit’s ticket points. Along with weekend tickets, there are individual day tickets available for Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the following opening times:

Friday 2 July: 08:00 – 18:00
Saturday 3 July: 08:00 – 18:00
