Situated in the heart of Austria’s Steiermark province, the Red Bull Ring is recognised internationally as a modern motorsport and events destination set amidst a unique natural backdrop. Protecting the surrounding landscape forms part of the Red Bull Ring’s environmental management.
With the ‘Nimm’s Radl’ (Come by Bike!) campaign in 2014, the Red Bull Ring embarked on a key initiative to improve transport to and from the circuit. This has been further expanded in recent years to provide visitors with additional transport options for travelling to and from motorsport events.
Since 2022, the ‘Nimm’s Shuttle’ (Come by Shuttlebus!) campaign has offered an attractive alternative to travelling by car. Visitors can travel to the circuit via interregional coach transfers from five Austrian federal states. In addition, free shuttle buses are available between Knittelfeld railway station and the Red Bull Ring.
Furthermore, the Red Bull Ring’s carbon footprint is calculated annually. This serves to identify significant sources of emissions and potential areas for action.
