Wheelchair users get ready for the Porsche driving experience

MISSION HANDGAS – EXEMPLIFYING INCLUSION AT THE RED BULL RING

At the Red Bull Ring, you’ll find the ultimate garage for motorsport fans. A fleet of vehicles that has everything you need to have fun! Since autumn 2021, there have been two sports cars available for wheelchair users in the form of the Porsche 718 Cayman S and the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4. Both vehicles can be converted to hand controls in just 25 minutes thanks to technology provided by Veigel.

Whether you’re at the Driving Center, on the track or on a leisurely tour through Styria – all driving experiences in the Porsche models can be booked all year round, with both hand and conventional controls. “I can come to the Red Bull Ring with my mates who aren’t in a wheelchair and give it full throttle. The experience in the Porsche is the same for all of us, and that’s what I consider to be inclusion,” says motorsport expert Reini Sampl. The Salzburg native has been part of Mission Handgas at the Red Bull Ring from the beginning.
