He has already been there and done it on the MotoGP podium – when the Motorcycle World Championship made its return to Austria in 2016. In 2022, Hubert von Goisern will return to Spielberg to get the riders and their teams ready for the CryptoDATA Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich by singing the Austrian national anthem to the watching world together with tens of thousands of fans.
Hubert von Goisern and his ingenious work, which mixes folk music deeply rooted in our Alpine land with different genres to give it greater international appeal, has been inspiring fans in this country and around the world for decades. The Red Bull Ring is always keen to put the spotlight on local artists before the start of top-class motorsport races in order to present Austrian culture to an international audience. Hubert Achleitner’s work is an important part of this.
