With a coffee in your hand, you’re guaranteed a better start to the day – and Saturday is going to be a busy day! Sprint races are scheduled today in both the Formula 3 and Formula 2 junior series as well as in the premier class of Formula 1.

At 12:00 noon, Verstappen, Norris and the rest will be fighting for victory in the sprint and for vital championship points. This will be followed later in the afternoon by qualifying for the 2024 Formula 1 Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Austria.

Fast Facts:

  • Pole position lap time in 2023: 1:04.391 (Max Verstappen)
  • Most pole positions: Niki Lauda, Rene Arnoux, Nelson Piquet, Valtteri Bottas and Max Verstappen (3)

Standout moment of the day: Legends Parade

In the late afternoon, spectators at the Red Bull Ring will be temporarily transported back in time when the spotlight shifts to legendary F1 drivers and iconic F1 cars that have won the Austrian Grand Prix in the past 50 years. They will be lapping the circuit as a rehearsal for tomorrow’s Legends Parade featuring idols from the past, such as two-time F1 world champion Emerson Fittipaldi and Austrian F1 legend Gerhard Berger. The drive-past is scheduled to start at 17:50.
