Teams gear up for the 2026 DTM season at Spielberg

In 2026, the DTM will celebrate the season opener in Austria for the first time in its history, featuring dream GT3 race cars. As early as Tuesday, the cars and numerous stars were already present at Spielberg: Lucas Auer from Tyrol (championship runner-up in 2022 and 2025), Thomas Preining from Upper Austria (2023 DTM champion), Mirko Bortolotti (2023 runner-up, 2024 DTM champion) and South African Kelvin van der Linde (2024 runner-up).

A full programme of motorsport and entertainment for the whole family

Vying for championship points on the race track will be 21 GT3 cars from no fewer than eight different high-end manufacturers – Aston Martin, BMW, Ferrari, Ford, Lamborghini, Mercedes-AMG, McLaren and Porsche. Four partner series (ADAC GT Masters, ADAC GT4 Germany, Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Germany and FIA Formula Regional European Championship) will be providing additional racing action. Autograph sessions, an open paddock, pit walks, service road tours and a supporting programme for the whole family will all make for a perfect weekend of motorsport.
