The 2nd „MopedGP von Österreich“ is in the books

MopedGP with the MotoGP riders

Jorge Martín in 'flight mode' and 'team-building' from Acosta and Binder

On August 14, just before the race weekend of the “BWIN GRAND PRIX OF AUSTRIA 2025” the second edition of the “MopedGP” gave MotoGP fans the chance to celebrate their passion for motorcycles and to open up the throttle themselves at the Red Bull Ring – where just a few hours later, the international motorcycle elite will be battling for World Championship points. Once again, hundreds of moped enthusiasts gathered at Spielberg to rev their engines together.

Some World Championship stars didn’t miss this opportunity and pushed the limits of physics with amazing angles on mopeds despite only a few horsepower! Álex Márquez, Jorge Martín, Pedro Acosta, Brad Binder, Enea Bastianini and Miguel Oliveira joined the moped crowd at the Red Bull Ring. Hundreds of fans followed with their 50cc speedsters, including ice speedway legend Franky Zorn and freestyle motocross rider Johannes Wibmer.

The stars had a lot of fun, with reigning world champion Jorge Martín taking the opportunity to perform his famous “flight mode” stunt. The fact that Brad Binder had more stamina than his moped did not dampen the mood – after all, the South African can rely on his teammate Pedro Acosta, who quickly took over the taxi service back to the pit lane.
