F1 stars will yet again sprint at the Red Bull Ring in 2024

Three-time world champion Max Verstappen has been crowned – and the first signs of the upcoming Formula 1 season in the land of the Austrian GP are showing. The FIA and the Formula 1 Group confirmed a total of six race weekends will have the sprint format with sprint races, including the “Formula 1 Großer Preis von Österreich 2024”. The race weekend in the Styrian valley of Murtal will take place from June 28th to 30th.

Third F1 sprint at the Red Bull Ring – changes announced

Following its introduction in 2021 and the Red Bull Ring premiere in 2022, the third F1 Sprint in Austria will be held next season as part of the Austrian Grand Prix. Drivers will have to give their all on three consecutive days to maximize points. Formula 1 announced adjustments to the sprint format on Tuesday, which will be presented by the F1 Commission at the beginning of 2024. In any case, one thing remains the same: fans will once again enjoy double the racing action and a perfect lead up to the race on Sunday!

Backed by a record number of fans, ready for the next ticket rush

The “Holiday Grand Prix” brought the Red Bull Ring a new attendance record this year with 304,000 fans over the entire race weekend. The rush for tickets to the next motorsport highlight of the year in Austria is already in full swing. An unforgettable F1 experience in Styria is also guaranteed in 2024.
