The Red Bull Ring wants to be a pioneer in creating an accessible race track. As a result, all rooms on the site are accessible thanks to suitable door widths, lifts and ramps for wheelchair users. Access to motorsport events in Spielberg is also ensured. Those in possession of a disability card will receive a 50% discount on the standard ticket price.
In the start-finish grandstand, wheelchair users will have an unobstructed view of the track and the pit lane. The stand is equipped with a wheelchair ramp and toilets on the same level. Furthermore, those with tickets for the start-finish grandstand will receive a parking permit that grants them entry to the Red Bull Ring.
For blind and visually impaired visitors, an audio description (i.e. audible image explanation) is available. Experienced moderators will commentate on the action on-track and ensure that blind and visually impaired attendees are kept informed and enjoy an entertaining race weekend.
Transcripts for the hearing-impaired: Via a LiveVoice stream, the spoken commentary from the track announcer can also be followed live as text – an accessible solution for hearing-impaired or deaf visitors to ensure they don’t miss a thing.
