When the engines fall silent at the Red Bull Ring and the racing teams and fans move on to the next race venue, that doesn’t mean that we shut up shop here. On the contrary! That’s when you, the public, get the opportunity to step on the gas at Spielberg. This can be even more fun in the winter months: We offer a choice of snowmobile, off-road buggy, KTM X-Bow or Porsche 718 Cayman S for you to make tracks in the snow at the Ring.
The challenge is great, the learning curve even steeper. Red Bull Ring instructor and ex-F1 driver Patrick Friesacher explains why: “In the dry, the cars have more traction and more grip – the car adheres to the tarmac. Better grip makes driving correspondingly easier. On snow, you need to be much more aware of and responsive to the road or track surface.”
