When the DTM makes its regular annual visit to the Red Bull Ring, fans get to see motorsport at close quarters. Throughout the race weekend, 42,500 spectators enjoyed a full programme of entertainment for the whole family, including autograph sessions, pit walks, the open paddock and perfect motorsport weather on showdown Sunday. Austria’s top drivers rose to the occasion, spurred on by a partisan crowd of home supporters.
What a finale to the racing summer at the Red Bull Ring! In perfect weather at the Austrian DTM showdown, Switzerland’s Ricardo Feller in a Land Motorsport Audi won ahead of Dutch pole-setter Thierry Vermeulen in a Ferrari. Tyrolean Mercedes driver Lucas Auer regained the overall lead with his first podium finish in a home race on Sunday and now has the best chance of winning the long-awaited DTM title in the season finale at the Hockenheimring.
Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Ford, Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes and Porsche – a list of names to savour for all true motorsport fans. In addition to the two main DTM races, fans were treated to a double bill in each of the partner series: ADAC GT Masters, ADAC GT4 Germany, Prototype Cup Germany and Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland.
Over three days, 42,500 fans were able to stroll through the open paddock and soak up the high-octane atmosphere. Pit walks and Meet the Drivers sessions presented the opportunity to collect autographs and take selfies with the stars. Fans who booked one of the Service Road Tours will undoubtedly have got goosebumps from being driven around within metres of the racing tarmac.

The DTM Fan Zone and the area around the race track offered something for every member of a motor racing fan’s family entourage. There was a dedicated kids’ area for the little ones, a concert by German singer-songwriter KAMRAD on the podium along the home straight and an air show by the Red Bull Rotorwings, showcasing incredible aerial manoeuvres.
If, for some inexplicable reason, you missed the finale of the motorsport summer at the Red Bull Ring, we have good news for you: the DTM, starring some of Austria’s top drivers, will soon be returning to the Murtal valley in Steiermark. On the weekend of 24th ‑ 26th April 2026, Spielberg will be hosting the season opener of this most German of touring car series. Tickets for the event go on sale from 5th October.
