A driving experience that is second to none on a race track that supports great motorsport like no other. Platinum Training is definitely one of the highlights at the Red Bull Ring. You drive around the Formula 1 track in a Formula 4 car (from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds), a Porsche 718 Cayman S (from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds) and a KTM X-Bow (from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds). You cannot possibly pack more action, adrenaline and acceleration into three hours. So get in, buckle up ... and let's go.
The Schedule:
After a short introduction, we start with a 20-minute Lead & Follow Session at the Red Bull Ring in the Porsche 718 Cayman S. Our instructors will show you the usual braking and turning points with their respective cars, explain correct racing line selection and train the correct viewing technique so that you can get your best possible lap time.
After that, you’ll move on to a 20-minute “lead & follow session,” followed by 20 minutes of free driving in the 330 hp KTM X-Bow, whose carbon monocoque weighs only 80 kilograms and provides you with crystal clear feedback from the track. At 200 km/h, the X-Bow builds up a downforce of 100 kilograms and enables lateral acceleration of up to 2G! Our instructors will analyse and improve your line and show you where you can brake a fraction later.
A 20-minute “lead & follow session,” followed by 20 minutes of free driving in a Formula 4 car, forms the grand finale. Where exactly are the pedals again? How do you change gears? The sitting position alone is something you've probably never experienced before. This is about the essence of driving: no roof, no light, no indicators (no, no car radio either). It’s a single-seater that only wants one thing - to be driven fast and precisely. Formula 4 provides the first step towards becoming a professional racing driver. A class in which every rookie has to prove themselves before battling with the best of the best in Formula 1. How does it feel when 200 horsepower meets only 570 kilograms? You just have to experience that.
