Luca Cadalora competed in a total of 197 Grands Prix, achieving 34 victories, 72 podium finishes, 29 pole positions, and 30 fastest race laps. In 1986, he became world champion in the 125cc class on a Garelli. In 1991 and 1992, he won the title in the 250cc class on a Honda. In 1991 and 1992, he set a long-standing record: Cadalora scored points in 34 consecutive races. At the 1997 Austrian Grand Prix in Spielberg, he finished third in the 500cc class on a Yamaha.
