Casey Stoner celebrates on the podium

The double world champion who really took off in the premier class

Casey Stoner is considered one of the most talented motorcycle racers in history. In 2007, he celebrated his first world championship title in MotoGP and thus also the first for Ducati. In 2011, he repeated this success with Honda. What is interesting about his career is that, unlike many other champions, he only celebrated title successes in MotoGP, where he also achieved most of his race starts, podium places, and victories. Along with Geoff Duke, Giacomo Agostini, Eddie Lawson and Valentino Rossi, Casey Stoner is one of only five riders in Grand Prix history to have won their titles in the premier class (MotoGP / 500 cc) with two different manufacturers.
