FORD MUSTANG FASTBACK SHELBY GT 500 “ELEANOR”

The star among muscle cars

This 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback Shelby GT500, better known as “Eleanor,” is the original hero car from the film Gone in 60 Seconds — preserved in its unrestored original condition.

Although Nicolas Cage and Angelina Jolie shine in the cult film, “Eleanor” is the true star. Designed by Steve Stanford and Chip Foose, with technology from Total Control Products and Ford Racing, she became an icon of the muscle car scene.

Of the eleven cars built for the film, only three were so-called hero cars — and this vehicle is one of them: fully functional, performance-tuned, and movie-ready down to the last detail.
