Arrival by car at the Red Bull Ring

Plan your trip to Formula 1 in advance. Here you’ll find everything you need to know – from arrival routes and travel tips to parking and departure by car.

Arrival routes

We recommend trying to arrive before 08:00.

A2 – Seebenstein junction – S6 – St. Michael junction – S36

If you’re coming from Vienna, please note that the S6 Semmering Schnellstraße will be reduced to a single lane in several sections around the race weekend. Due to construction in the Semmering region and around Leoben, delays are expected in both directions.

A2 – Bad St. Leonhard – B78 Obdach – Weißkirchen in der Steiermark

If you’re coming from Schladming / Selzthal region, it is recommended to exit at Trieben (follow the signs) to avoid the St. Michael junction.

Parking at the Formula 1

Here’s everything you need to know about parking at the Red Bull Ring:

  • Parking at the Red Bull Ring is free of charge.
  • Depending on your arrival route, police and event staff will direct you to the nearest available lot – please follow the signs on site.
  • All parking areas are within walking distance of the circuit.
  • There are enough spaces for all visitors, so no reservation is necessary.
  • Note your parking lot number, displayed at the entrance of each lot, to find your car easily after the event.

A limited number of paid parking spaces are available opposite the venue (in the accredited area). These offer the shortest walking distance and dedicated access routes for a more convenient arrival.

Departure from the parking lots

When leaving, always follow the departure signs and the instructions of stewards and police. They will guide you on the quickest route, helping you avoid traffic from other parking areas.

Please allow extra time when returning to the parking areas. Be patient and considerate, as some delays may occur during departure.
