Book your place now and discover the Red Bull Ring from a completely new perspective – that of a racing driver! Before we let you loose in the formula racing car, however, we will give you time to familiarise yourself with the racing circuit in a Porsche 718 Cayman S and a KTM X-Bow.
Our instructors will tell you everything you need to know, for example about braking and turn-in points, about choice of racing line and eye technique. After that, you’ll be ready to charge round the Red Bull Ring in a single-seater.
Like every professional driver, you will wear a racing suit, racing helmet and the HANS system (Head and Neck Support). As soon as you get into the car, you will discover just how tight the monocoque actually is. You’ll find that you are more in a lying position than actually sitting, and that you are directly above the floor plate, i.e. with just 2-3 cm of clearance from the tarmac!
But don’t worry – as soon as the engine begins to roar, those details fade into insignificance, and you are fully in racing mode. “Once you’ve experienced the feeling, you won’t want to drive anything else,” says Patrick Friesacher. “Short braking distances, high cornering speeds, instant acceleration – it’s an experience that you can only get in a Formula 4 car.”
