Red Bull’s first winner in the premier class of the Motorcycle World Championship

Simon Crafar celebrated a single victory in the Motorcycle World Championship, and it was a big one: riding his Yamaha, the New Zealander won the British Grand Prix at Donington Park in 1998, securing the first victory in the premier class for sponsor Red Bull. He will take to the track on a Yamaha YZR500 at the Red Bull Legends Parade 2025 at the Red Bull Ring. Simon Crafar was a long-time pit reporter for MotoGP and has been chairman of the FIM MotoGP Stewards Panel since 2025.
